Your Mom
Your Mom is actually not a combat robot for battlebots. It is one that I kind of threw together for the Tech Challenge in downtown San Jose. It's not fighting, the object is to transport a "torch" from one platform to another by any means neccesary. It was kind of a pain getting this thing to work, but it did and it does and I'm fairly proud of it. So without further ado, here is Your Mom.

Unfortunately the school "accidently" threw Your Mom away before I had a chance to take it back home. Luckily I got all the expenive bits off of it first. You may notice that this picture is a bit different from the description. It is not remote controlled in this picture, we built a switchbox that allowed on-off-reverse control of all three motors, which proved to be uncontrollable. The easiest way to make it controllable was to make proportional control and the only way I could do that was with the radio and speed controllers off of Strange Brew. Also this is before we wrapped the whole machine in duct tape to protect the vital bits. At the event we proved to be some of the more charismatic people there, running the robot around like it was out of control and scaring various people. That was fun, thank god nobody got hurt. We were repeatedly asked why the robot was named "Your Mom" and this was of course kyle's idea. It was so we could incorporate Your Mom jokes into everything. "We were up all night working on Your Mom" etc. Her slogan is "Your Mom: She's not pretty, but she sure can work."
